Dignity for DIvas 2020
Cooking class for the holidays with DIgnity for DIvas. Founder and Director, Nikki Gane, started Dignity for Divas (DfD) in 2012. She is supporting homeless women in the Seattle-Tacoma area with classes and supplies meant to restore dignity.
Acts of service event 2016.
I've never met a homeless woman however, I have met women who were homeless. It is important to remember that we should never define a person by their circumstance. I teamed up with amazing people in my community along with my church home "Freedom Church of Seattle" and we catered a full course Christmas meal for the women at the YWCA. Amazing food, with raffles, a DJ, an MC, prizes, and henna!
Hope of Village Charity event
I had the honor of working with a phenomenal client Yan Mathison. She is the founder of “Hope Village” @social.hopevillage and their mission is to empower communities to break the chain of poverty through education and self-sustainability. They do this by providing support through educational programs and business enterprises that lead to increased opportunities, job creation and economic advancements in diverse communities locally and worldwide.
Remember It takes a village to create change.
Thank you to our very own Seattle Seahawks KJ Wright for donating and supporting to this extraordinary cause and giving back to those in need.
Sandy’s food for the soul is honored to be apart of something so powerful.
